summer is
to smell you
and myself
again
to be reminded
of underground
activity
and desires
skin made
of dust
and dark
humid soil
skin unveiling
shy and greedy
under the sun’s
steamy kiss
skin
that shivers
with pleasure
and life
skin
sweet and buttery
the first bite
into a croissant
skin that
welcomes
her dangerous lover
and surrenders
skin that
erupts
into rich
tears
my sweat
is sun
passion
and peace
nothing
more delicious
than a sudden
sigh from the wind
delicate
and strong
it fills my armpits
and my nostrils
stop wearing
deodorant
a lover
once implored
allowing me
to fall in love
with my sweat
and my smells
to read
to reveal
myself
and others
my bodily
odours
now
dance with me
bold and fierce
holding the sun’s hand
subdued, mysterious
in the absence of her.
*
when i say
i want you
your smell
is what i mean
let me
dive
into your soft
armpit
disappear
into the
unique embrace
of your smell
get lost
on the nape
of your
sweet neck
in your folds
let me
gulp down
whole bites
of you
when i say
i want you
your sweat
is what i desire
allow me
to have you
raw
unbathed
allow me
to see you
shed
your rose petals
let me
memorise
your signature
scent
so that
when i find it
mixed
with mine
i can
relive
what it feels like
to have you.
